Stage 3 – Mandatory Water Use Restrictions Effective 8/31/2023

Jordan Ranch is continuing to experience severe water shortage conditions leading Fulshear MUD 3A to institute Stage 3 of its Drought Contingency Plan. Your cooperation is imperative to provide adequate water and water pressure to the community.  It is anticipated that an additional water plant will be completed in the coming weeks; however, until then, we must diligently conserve to ensure there is adequate potable water available.

NOTE: If you are resident of the Jordan Ranch community, you are also a resident of Fulshear Municipal Utility District No. 3A and should adhere to the restrictions implemented for said District.

The following steps are MANDATORY at this time:

Irrigation of residential landscaped areas shall be prohibited from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the use of permanently installed, automatic sprinkler systems and hose-end sprinklers is prohibited at all times.

Irrigation shall be limited to handheld hoses, handheld buckets, or drip irrigation on the following days only:

  • Addresses ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) – Sundays and Thursdays
  • Addresses ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) – Saturdays and Wednesdays

THESE ARE MANDATORY STEPS!  RESIDENTS NOT FOLLOWING THE WATERING SCHEDULE MAY BE SUBJECT TO FINES OR WATER SERVICE TERMINATION.

The Board of Directors is aware of the inconvenience of these severe restrictions, but it is imperative that the water supply not only be available for drinking and bathing but also for firefighters in the event of a house fire.  Any person who violates the water use restrictions set forth above is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250) and not more than five hundred dollars ($500). Each day that one or more of the provisions in this Plan is violated shall constitute a separate offense.
